President/CEO Chris Russell Update
Greetings,
The fall of 2024 has arrived, and the Ozark community embraces this season with enthusiasm, celebrating through craft shows, festivals, Halloween events, school sports, the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, our 59th Christmas Parade, the Finley River Park Light Tour, and much more. Your Ozark Chamber is proud to be at the heart of it all, supporting everything Ozark has to offer, including our ongoing initiative to remind everyone to "Shop Ozark First" this holiday season. Whether you spot the hashtag #shopozarkmo on social media or see a Chamber member sticker in a store window, the message is clear—shopping locally in Ozark strengthens our community.
When you choose to shop in Ozark, you are helping to create jobs, stimulate economic growth, and keep money circulating in the local economy. Our businesses, often owned by neighbors and community members, offer personalized services and contribute to the unique character of Ozark. Plus, shopping locally reduces environmental impact by minimizing transportation and excess packaging. Local businesses are also more likely to reinvest in the community, supporting events, sponsoring causes, and enriching the social fabric of our town.
This holiday season, before ordering online, consider visiting OzarkChamber.com to browse our Membership Directory. Ask yourself, "Who in Ozark could I buy this from?" and let's all work together to spread the Ozark love by supporting businesses right here at home. If you're thinking beyond Ozark, look to Christian County for your holiday shopping as well.
Your Ozark Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to our mission of "strengthening Ozark through economic impact, community enrichment, and individual connection." We’re also excited to host the annual State of the Community event on December 10th, where Ozark’s Partnership in Progress—including the Ozark Chamber, City of Ozark, Christian County, Ozark Fire District, and Ozark R-VI School District—will share 2024’s achievements and our vision for 2025 and beyond. Tickets for this event are available at OzarkChamber.com.
We look forward to seeing you soon at an Ozark Chamber event, whether it’s a Monthly Luncheon, First Friday Coffee, Ribbon Cutting, or maybe even at the Christmas Parade with a float!
We are grateful to serve the Ozark community as your Chamber of Commerce.
