President/CEO Chris Russell Update

Happy Summertime,

Greetings from your Ozark Chamber of Commerce! We have so many exciting announcements to share—where do we begin?

First, we are thrilled to announce our new location at 1503 S. 3rd Street, close to South and 3rd near the southside Kum n Go. We've set up a small visitors center, and we've already welcomed several out-of-town guests eager to learn about all the great things Ozark has to offer.

We've also kicked off our #shopozarkmo campaign with a live TV show that aired last Friday on Ozarks Fox AM. If you missed it, make sure to check out their website to see the celebration of all things Ozark during a two-hour live show on the square.

Another exciting announcement is the return of the Showcase Ozark Community Expo on Saturday, September 7th at the Ozark Innovation Center at 1600 W. Jackson. This FREE event runs from 9 AM to 3 PM and is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses, organizations, community groups, and city, school, and county officials. There will be plenty of fun activities for kids, chances to win prizes, and much more.

The following weekend, we’ll be promoting the Fall Citywide Garage Sale on September 12th, 13th, and 14th. You can list your garage sale for free on our digital map and join a fun scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes.

Save the date for Saturday, November 23rd, when the 59th Annual Ozark Christmas Parade starts at 5 PM. We’ll provide more details and this year’s theme soon.

These are just a few events we have planned for our community. Don’t forget about the Ozark Booster Club Rodeo on July 19th and 20th, the Historic River District Car Show and Ozark’s birthday celebration on August 2nd, the Ozark Craft Show on October 4th, 5th, and 6th at Finley River Park, and the Ozark Market Days on the 4th Saturday of June, July, August, and September on the Square. Plus, all the activities in our parks.

Why is this important? These events offer fun family activities and attract visitors to Ozark. When people visit, they shop here, eat here, and support our local businesses. As a chamber, we work hard to support all our local businesses, including those not yet members, by creating an environment for them to succeed. We provide community events, marketing, networking, and educational opportunities, along with coaching and consulting services to help businesses grow and prosper. We also work with local community leaders to ensure all businesses in the Ozark area are represented and advocated for.

Support your local chamber, support your local businesses, and choose local Ozark professionals for your services. Lift up our local community leaders and remember to thank them as well.

If you haven’t checked out our new website, please visit www.ozarkchamber.com and follow us on Facebook for important community information and updates. You can also stop by our office to pick up a copy of our magazine, the Ozark Current (soon to be renamed Showcase Ozark), or check it out on our website.

We are grateful to serve the Ozark community as your Chamber of Commerce.
